Here are the the groups as currently planned. Just click the link and you will see a color-coded job chart that reads left right. Each week one group will “read the news” as though it were a broadcast using short 1-2 minute summaries of the most exciting points of their article. This resembles how the children are learning to use “buzz” words during Reading to recommend and excite another reader, i.e. a friend, to read the same book. Most importantly when presenting on the back table which resembles a news desk, the goal is to inform the audience of the greater meaning of the story rather than simply reading it word for word.
