End of Year Letter

 

Dear Parents:

On behalf of the Philip’s Academy community, congratulations and thank you for bringing another very successful academic year to its conclusion.  With only 14 school days remaining before we celebrate our Family Field Day together. Please mark your calendars so that you can plan for our remaining events:

June 3:                  Athletic Banquet, 5:30 PM: All players, including Varsity and Junior Falcons and their families may attend, please RSVP with your appropriate coach by May 17th.

June 6-10:           Upper School Exams for Grades 8.  Upper School students start their exams.  

June 14:               Alumni Panel. 6:00 PM.

June 15-20:        Upper School Exams for Grades 5-7. Math Exams will serve as placement exams for the following year.

Recognition Ceremonies                                                                                    

K:            Tuesday, June 14, periods 7-8

1:             Tuesday, June 17, periods 1-2

2:            Tuesday, June 21, periods 7-8

3:             Wednesday, June 15, periods 7-8

4:            Tuesday, June 21, periods 1-2

7 & 8      Wednesday, June 22, periods 7-8

*New This Year:  Grades 5 and 6 will have their own US Recognition Ceremony to celebrate their achievements over the course of the year.

June 16:               “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, 5:00 PM: Parents and Teachers are invited to attend to see the debut produced by eighth grade students.

June 17:               “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, 2:00 PM: Parents and Teachers are invited to attend to see the debut produced by eighth grade students.

June 17:               Alumni Induction Ceremony, 6:00 PM: Eighth grade parents are invited to this assembly where Eighth Graders share acquired wisdom.

June 21:               Upper School Field Trip Day: Grades 5, 6, 7 and 8 will go on Class Trips.

June 23:               Graduation, 10:00 AM:  This Upper School assembly (Grades 6-8) is followed by a reception for the graduate’s families, hosted by the 7th grade families.  All Grades have a half-day of school and will be dismissed after their lunch periods: Grades K-5: 11:30 & Grades 6-7: 12:15.

June 24:               Family Field Day:  This wonderful event serves as our last official day of school. 

If you have questions about any of these events, please contact your child’s teacher, the appropriate grade level head teacher, or me for more information.

    Good Morning,

    Can you tell me the times for the 5&6th grade award ceremony? Also was it decided if everyone will get an award? I have to take the time off from work, so I’m trying to get a heads up.
