Keep checking the gradebook! I’ve been trying to add assignments each night the past couple of days, but in the meantime, make sure that you submit any missed work if you’d like credit. Remember, I won’t allow you to make-up work in Quarters 3 and 4 the way you’ve been doing thus far because we’re aiming to be more responsible, so use the last 10 days of the quarter to your advantage!
Reading– Continue working on your definitions from class today
- 1 synonym and 1 antonym for each word along w/ each definition
Also complete the reading activity below from our Wordly Wise book (no Quiz during this short week, but I’ll assess how they use these words in a different manner).
- DOWNLOAD– The Last Dinosaur Reading worksheets
History – Social Studies Workbook pgs. 41-42 (makeup just in case you didn’t complete or submit this the other day.
- Continue working on your research Power Point slideshows that are due next week!
Math– 5A Workbook pgs. 151-153, #s 1-8
This is the same concept we’ve been working on for a couple weeks now. Look at your notes for reference. Remember, first you must change the mixed number to an improper fraction before you multiply across (or simplify before you multiply like w/ Method 1 or 2). Finally, turn your newly created improper fraction back into a mixed number so you can get the final answer.
Writing– see the attached website for non-fiction prompt ideas…some are more manageable than others. OR you can write a non-fiction response on a topic of your own choice (think a journal entry).
Don’t write the entire response, just focus on the first 1-2 paragraphs. We’ll continue writing this response in class tomorrow. If you finish the entire essay at home, than tomorrow you’ll have to write another one so please follow the instructions and simply get your thoughts started on paper 🙂
