Informational Writing Graphic Organizer

Our new concept following narratives is informational writing, doing the work to compose a fact-based research paper.  Once again, students will be provided with detailed instruction and numerous resources and graphic organizers that will help them to set up their papers step-by-step in a coherent manner.  These first few resources will be handed out in class on Monday with further supplements to follow.  Attached below are copies of what will be distributed and gone over in the days ahead.  Some of the graphic organizers are similar so the choice will be left to the students to decide which format works best for them.

Further information on the different concepts we will discover, learn about, and master throughout this section will be given at the appropriate time.

Students are also invited to make their own organizers and to be creative!  Filling out at least one of the graphic organizers as we progress through the assignment will be counted as a grade as this is an important skill for everybody.

Hope this helps, thanks!
